Vial Material:
As you know, borosilicate glass is the least reactive. It’s the most common type of vial material for chemical and pharmaceutical labs.
Polypropylene plastic vials give you a good cost control option in certain circumstances - working with acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, isobutyl alcohol, and methyl ethyl ketone.
Like anywhere else in the lab, amber glass is suitable for light sensitive samples.
For everything else, clear is the standard.
